Chinese companies hunting the next growth curve increasingly treat Singapore as the outbound springboard — open policy, location, and talent density.

## 01 · Singapore as launchpad

One of Asia’s “Four Tigers”: dense tech talent (NTU Data Science & AI QS 2024 #8 globally; Singapore often top-4 by paper count at major AI venues). Past decade: local startups roughly doubled to ~55,000 — many HQ here and scale to unicorns. Chinese / Malay / Indian / other communities give rich product-test surfaces. Open stance also incubates Web3 (blockchain, crypto, DeFi) — a localization + partnership lane for Chinese tech firms. Outbound remains hard but opportunity-rich.
