SG AI Agent Summit Full Recap

From local compliance and enterprise workflow integration, to edge-device coordination and global commercialization pathways

The Unique Bloom 2026 · SG AI Agent Summit, hosted by Unique Research, was successfully held in Singapore. The summit brought together entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem leaders from the global AI Agent field, with practical discussions on AI Agent local compliance, enterprise workflow integration, edge-device hardware coordination, and global commercialization pathways.

For those unable to attend in person, the following is the complete content recap of the summit's frontline insights and core takeaways.

Why AI Agents, Why Singapore, Why Now

In his opening keynote, Unique Research Founder & CEO Delta Wu pointed out that since the release of ChatGPT 3.5, the industry center of gravity in generative AI has shifted. The focus has moved away from benchmark scores of underlying large models, and toward whether AI can actually complete tasks, and how to effectively integrate into and reshape real enterprise workflows.

The keynote traced the evolution logic of AI product forms: from chatbots relying on prompt interaction, to copilots assisting local tasks, and now to Agents that can take over complex tasks autonomously. At the current stage of commercial competition, Agents are becoming the default product form; Agents that can go deep into enterprise workflows and deliver deterministic output will occupy key ecosystem positions.

Regarding geography and timing, Delta Wu noted that Singapore, as a global hub for capital and cross-border business, has a sound compliance soil and multilingual testing ground. At the current juncture, setting the first overseas stop in Singapore for architecture separation and compliance validation has become the industry consensus for cross-border AI-native startups to achieve PMF and move toward global markets.

AI Agent Globalization: From Hype to Revenue

In a roundtable hosted by Unique Research Founder & CEO Delta Wu, five guests shared experience on how to convert technology into real revenue. Emerging AI COO Jolie Li (李卓) noted that deep penetration into vertical industries such as finance and smart manufacturing requires fully integrating into clients' core processes. Muse AI CEO Jennifer Chen approached from a multinational enterprise perspective, introducing how their operating-system-integrated multimodal workflow Agent supports cross-departmental collaboration and marketing innovation across multilingual environments.

The commercialization pathway of combined software-hardware and subscription models was discussed. Plaud Head of APAC Marketing Megumi Yoshinaga shared Plaud's progress of surpassing $100 million in APAC revenue, noting that redefining the AI entry point through smart hardware and saving time for high-net-worth users can achieve high paid conversion rates. PatSnap Co-Founder Guan Dian (关典) revealed that PatSnap has layered AI product credit consumption on top of traditional SaaS annual fees, and is experimenting with a results-delivery-oriented FDE model, rapidly increasing the AI portion of revenue.

Regarding enterprise-grade Agent deployment challenges, Dify GM of APAC Lusha Chen offered practical observations. She noted that most enterprise-grade Agents currently exist essentially as controlled workflows; because data access control permissions (RBAC) and compliance risk control are the bottom line for enterprises, AI Agents must reduce token consumption while ensuring process visibility and deterministic precision to truly survive inside enterprises.

What Kind of AI Agent Truly Has Global Capability?

This roundtable was hosted by Zhidemai (值得买) CAIO & SVP He Zhu (朱鹤). Agnes AI Founder Bruce Yang (杨通) approached from architectural flexibility, noting that true globalization is not simple language translation, but whether an Agent can seamlessly integrate into diverse overseas foundational software and API ecosystems, and adapt nimbly to frequent iteration of underlying large models through modular design.

Regarding practical pain points in going global, BetaAI Co-Founder Yinan Li (李一楠) and 2nd brain Founder & CEO Hua Mao (毛华) shared their on-the-ground experience. They believe that an excellent global Agent needs both positioning in specific vertical scenarios and superior user experience—not only must it have keen local business acumen in the early stage of overseas expansion, but also allow non-engineering users to get started easily through intuitive, low-barrier product interfaces, thereby forming scale benefits in international markets.

FOSHO Co-Founder Tony Sun added insights on global marketing and local community integration. He noted that Agents with global vitality must have the ability to penetrate and interact with local private domain traffic and specific community ecosystems (such as Reddit, Discord); only through continuously accumulating proprietary context and business logic in specific countries and vertical sectors, forming multi-dimensional trust barriers, can Agents consolidate long-term customer value in overseas segmented sectors.

Localization, Trust-Building, and Compliance: Required Courses for Global AI Agents

Tech media Chelsea hosted this roundtable, deep-diving with four experts on compliance and trust-building on the globalization path. Singapore Management University Associate Dean, SCIS Prof. Feida Zhu combined academic and policy perspectives, emphasizing that the trust crisis faced by cross-border AI systems needs to be resolved by aligning with local legal frameworks, such as Singapore's PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act) and the IMDA-issued AI Verify framework—achieving traceable technology, explainable results, and comprehensive auditability.

The solidity of commercial implementation details determines the success or failure of localization. Inflect/Nex Founder Jonathan Liem shared their localization details across ASEAN countries, such as handling the red invoice accounting compliance issues unique to the Vietnamese market, and noted that in Asia-Pacific, closing B2B business through informal channels (such as WhatsApp sales groups) is often faster than traditional email. zCloak.AI Founder Francis revealed that they choose to station employees at clients' frontline physical scenarios, directly addressing the "last mile" data integration pain point, and by partnering with local universities for technical training, using rigorous verification instead of blind trust to unlock local major clients.

In addressing talent bottlenecks and safety liability boundaries, Aurora Mobile Head of Solutions & Partnership Andy Tan contributed unique thinking. He noted that facing talent supply pressure caused by local geopolitics, cross-border and cross-regional collaboration architectures can be adopted, and trust gaps can be bridged by empowering local system integrators (SIs). Meanwhile, facing the complex environment of AI data flows roaming across multiple countries, the team helps enterprises design secure end-to-end data control solutions by providing privacy-focused, private-deployment-supporting PaaS platforms.

What Kind of AI Agent Startups Do Investors Really Want to See

China-Singapore AI Association Co-Founder Huangchao Chen (陈凰朝) moderated, guiding five venture capital executives in a discussion on Agent entrepreneurship from an investment perspective. Golden Gate Ventures Co-Founder & Managing Partner Jeffrey Paine noted that in the current market red ocean, VCs highly value founding teams' understanding of clients' traditional pain points. Openspace Capital Director & Head of Data Science and AI Yiliang Zhao (赵奕靓) added that against the backdrop of frequent large model disruption, companies simply wrapping big tech APIs will be rapidly eliminated; investors are examining founders' ability to build data recursive loops and finely tune small models within their target domains.

Facing the Agent entrepreneurship boom, VCs have raised stricter requirements for cash flow metrics and real ROI delivery. Accel Venture Principal Manasi Shah frankly stated that extreme speed and resilience in adversity are key metrics distinguishing excellent overseas entrepreneurs; VCs need to assess whether teams can quickly build local sales in overseas markets. Monk's Hill Ventures Partner Arun Pai and 59st Ventures Chief Strategy Officer & Managing Director Jim Lim jointly noted that a successful Agent must fully integrate into clients' core workflows, demonstrate clear profit-efficiency ROI, and reduce customer churn.

The roundtable sparked discussion on data assets and physical AI when looking to the future. Jeffrey Paine said that if he were to start a company, he would focus on AI medical science for cancer treatment. Yiliang Zhao (赵奕靓) proposed a forward-looking thesis: she would lean toward founding a data asset company that collects and tags vertical industry data, selling scarce training data to future hardware-software Agent companies working on connecting physical world intelligence (Physical AI) with advanced manufacturing industrial flows.

Highlight: SG AI 30 Awards

As the summit passed its halfway point, it reached a milestone mid-year moment—the inaugural SG AI 30 Awards ceremony officially took place. The award recognizes 30 benchmark companies that have demonstrated technical leadership, commercialization momentum, and local practice value in the global AI and Agent revolution.

This SG AI 30 research and selection process lasted several weeks. The selection was based on massive underlying data monitoring, combined with quantitative evaluation by AI algorithm models, and integrated with active applications from leading innovators and joint review by industry experts, layer by layer filtering to the final annual list.

Among the star companies on this list, there are both AI-native pathfinders that have directly established Singapore as their global headquarters, and overseas expansion companies that view Singapore as a core strategic hub radiating operations across the entire global blue-ocean market. This award clearly depicts Singapore's industry landscape as a global AI innovation bellwether.

AI Film and Short Drama Going Global: From Production Workflow to Global Commercialization

The afternoon session was hosted by Unique Research Partner Abner Zhao, with a roundtable on "AI Film and Short Drama Going Global: From Production Workflow to Global Commercialization." Minipix Founder & CEO Jony Deng, drawing on 15 years of video streaming and overseas expansion experience, noted that as AI multimodal technology brings productivity democratization, the core of industry competition has shifted from the production-capacity threshold of "can we produce massive video" to "who can control precise global distribution channels and efficient IP monetization value."

The integration of traditional audiovisual industry and general-purpose large models is driving transformation. MovieFlow Co-Founder Liang Wei (梁巍), a filmmaker with deep industry experience, stated directly that AI video has left the low-determinism generation era; with professional tools and 4K cinema-level ultra-HD画面 arriving, they have served multiple mainstream film crews over the past months, and professional creators are fully embracing AI-driven efficiency gains throughout the production pipeline. ShanJian Intelligence (闪剪智能) CTO Xiangyang Tang (唐向阳) approached from the evolution of tool-type sectors, noting that future opportunity lies in consolidating video tools into highly deterministic "AI teams," dissolving ordinary users' interaction anxiety through extreme workflow simplification.

High-quality visual long-form storytelling and cross-border collaboration processes are redefining the paradigm of cultural going global. FizzDragon Associate VP of Global Distribution David Wang shared behind-the-scenes of their AIGC film that officially entered theatrical release, proving that by breaking borders—over 100 creators from 13 countries and regions fully collaborating based on decentralized workflows—AI film can achieve a commercial closed loop. Regarding future trends, guests agreed that global audiences are still collectively awaiting the birth of a landmark short drama or premium long-form IP belonging to the AI multimodal era.

Global Deployment of Edge Intelligence: From Cloud Agents to Device Agents

TMTPOST VP & Partner Wenqin Luo (罗文琴) hosted this roundtable, exploring with multiple hardware-software coordination founders the grand transformation of "Global Deployment of Edge Intelligence: From Cloud Agents to Device Agents." Wavenote Founder & CEO Kun Hua (华琨) noted that hardware companies in the future will not be manufacturers of large model tokens, but physical distributors and sellers of tokens; their main customer base is not hardcore tech enthusiasts, but professional elites with extremely high requirements for ease of use and meeting-efficiency ROI.

Next-generation hardware and interaction forms are undergoing qualitative leaps. Gyges Labs (Vocci) Co-Founder Domingo Deng (邓旭东) brought smart glasses with hidden displays and hand-interaction rings, demonstrating how to build "the shortest interaction path and entry point for AI Agents" through physical entities, allowing users to gradually reduce dependence on smartphones. SATELLAI Co-Founder & CTO Yan Gu (顾岩) shared how their self-developed edge-cloud collaborative model identifies, learns, and translates behavioral-level sensor data captured by pet collars, helping owners build digital emotional bonds with pets over long lifespans.

The interweaving of affective computing, supply chain advantages, and platform ecosystems provides fertile ground for edge intelligence. Veryloving.ai Founder & CEO Grace Xiong (熊楚伊) approached from emotional safety jewelry for people living alone, noting that its product can finely detect emotions and trigger alerts in emergencies, combining supply chain advantages to satisfy humanity's underlying longing for connection. Tuya Smart Marketing Innovation Director of APAC Tissia Tu (屠熙蔚) summarized from the perspective of a global IoT open platform, emphasizing that the real future opportunity lies in breaking out of single-point hardware involution, and through a B2BC role bringing edge intelligence as a whole into smart cities, smart buildings, and other large-scale scenarios.

Enterprise AI Deployment Status and Trends

In a roundtable hosted by COCO AI Co-Founder Charlie Hu, multiple frontline operators discussed "Enterprise AI Deployment Status and Trends." Yuanli Intelligence (元理智能) Founder & CEO Fan Zhang (张帆) shared frontline deployment breakthroughs, emphasizing that enterprise-grade AI and personal productivity tools have an essential gap—deployment success does not depend on flashy single-point demonstrations, but on whether it can serve as a stable, rigorously controlled digital labor force in the digital world, achieving measurable cost reduction and efficiency gains through seamless integration into the enterprise's entire IT system.

Deep business model transformation and vertical depth became the core consensus of this session. PlanX CEO Lex and SOIN AI CEO Sophie Yang (杨婷) noted that the vast majority of large enterprises today, when adopting enterprise-grade AI, remain in rigorous POC and partial testing stages, which requires AI-native vendors to proactively break away from the traditional single fixed SaaS annual fee sales model, moving toward credit-consumption-based token economics, or even revenue-sharing models fully oriented toward final delivery results or ROI increments.

Regarding organizational change and compliance risk control in the digital reshaping process, The9Bit CEO Marrtin Hoon and WIDTH Co-Founder & CEO Chionh Chye Kit added that enterprise-grade Agents are facing deep-water tests in massive data scheduling, cross-border compliance, and preventing algorithm hallucinations from generating legal liability. Only when enterprises establish complete traceable audit chains from the start, making AI truly a trusted and compliant digital member of the organization, can they go the distance in prolonged global commercial competition.

Multi-Agent Systems: From Model Routing and Long-Term Memory to Production-Grade Architecture

Z.AI Head of Z.AI Zixuan Li (李子玄) hosted a highly technical roundtable, engaging in deep technical exchange with five experts on "Multi-Agent Systems: From Model Routing and Long-Term Memory to Production-Grade Architecture." PingCAP TiDB APAC AI Business & Product Leader Lux Li (李粒) provided a deconstruction perspective: building a multi-Agent system in production is essentially building a complex enterprise organization, requiring several Agent roles with conflicting purposes and mutual constraints—PM, Coder, Tester—to work together in high concurrency, and distributed databases are precisely the cornerstone supporting such complex organizational architectures.

The extreme efficiency of real-time response and precise model routing logic are the lifeline of commercial delivery. WIZ.AI CEO Jianfeng Lu (陆剑锋), drawing on experience operating ultra-large-scale mixed-language intelligent customer service systems across ASEAN countries, noted that in telecom and banking production environments, extreme low-latency response is the life-or-death bottom line to prevent customer hang-ups. He revealed that WIZ.AI internally achieves this through precise weighted routing between quality, response time, and token economic cost—calling cost-effective small and medium models at non-critical nodes, and jumping to top-tier large models at core complex nodes, ensuring reliable overall delivery.

Long-term memory infrastructure is comprehensively reshaping the recall paradigm of large models. EverMind open-source ecosystem lead Elliot Chen (陈亦凡), together with Loova AI Founder Benson Xu (徐安邦) and DeiNai CEO Yi Shi (施燚), shared the core value of memory in multi-Agent ecosystems. They noted that introducing self-evolving memory architectures and recall mechanisms can not only partially replace cumbersome traditional RAG in massive multimodal material deployment, but also use offline reflection mechanisms to let multi-Agents self-correct during operation; the industry is fully embracing precise Loop Engineering.

Autonomous Agents: Capability Boundaries, Security, and Governance

Tech media Chelsea returned to the stage to host, discussing with four guests who have long followed frontier security on "Autonomous Agents: Capability Boundaries, Security, and Governance." AIDX Head of Growth Soh Chin Yih (苏晋毅), drawing on experience in quality compliance, auditing, and financial governance, noted that when autonomous Agents have increasingly long-cycle autonomous planning and independent execution authority, AI testing and assurance are becoming essential needs; in complex production or financial compliance chains, "human-machine collaboration" has evolved into a necessary compliance check item for enterprises to prevent disasters.

Agents' long-cycle execution capability and autonomy boundaries are continuously approaching limits in practice. SuperIntelligence CEO Kisson Lin noted that by focusing on building long-cycle growth Agents in SEO optimization and overseas KOL negotiation—areas with long cycles and drastically shifting external environments—they found that Agent completion rates in pure execution and coding chains are already very high, but Agents' taste and judgment in multi-dimensional decision-making remain extremely dependent on humans. Therefore, enterprises should not blindly cut large teams, but rationally restructure organizations in practice where humans retain final responsibility.

Decentralized and sovereign Agents are gradually becoming privacy protection barriers. LingoAI Co-Founder Henry Wang (王启亨) and Pit Managing Director APAC Matthias Hendrichs contributed deeply international-level warnings. Henry noted that the traditional practice of blindly feeding sensitive business plans into cloud-based centralized AI is exposing enterprises to privacy breach risks; to address this, LingoAI is building an entirely new underlying protocol based on semantic web, allowing institutions to fully control data ownership locally on edge devices. Matthias added that Pit, drawing on mature European enterprise-grade AI experience, is fully helping Asia-Pacific enterprises embed strict safety red lines into local implementation practices while automating backend processes and unleashing productivity.

Setting Out from Singapore: The Globalization Path of AI Agent Companies

The final roundtable, hosted by DAJ Innovations Founder Ahaya, brought the focus back to the starting point, centering on "Setting Out from Singapore: The Globalization Path of AI Agent Companies." Digitaste Founder Erik Yang and ThinkSpace Founder Max Ye, speaking from their own experience going global in vertical legal categories and specific business applications, noted that Singapore is not just a geographic coordinate, but a "super adapter" that allows China's premium engineer dividend to react with global multi-ethnic, multicultural, and multi-jurisdictional environments.

Local service barriers and extreme deep-diving into vertical industry pain points are becoming core weapons for overseas companies to break through. Cuber AI Managing Director C K Ng shared their experience of extreme AI reorganization of teams in operations, deploying efficient Agents to serve hundreds of overseas enterprises, proving that the light-asset going global model of the AI Native era has broken the traditional heavy-asset model. Guests jointly noted that the threshold for writing products has basically dropped to zero, and what truly determines the survival of an overseas Agent company remains whether founders can go deep into local industries' actual scenarios to understand and transform the most authentic traditional workflows.

Sovereign compliance, capital delivery, and global ecosystem construction ultimately depict the ultimate direction for the future. VertrAI CEO Wei Xiong (熊炜), drawing on his macro perspective of living in Singapore and serial entrepreneurship for many years, made a profound summary. He noted that Singapore manages massive assets and has active top-tier VC institutions, making it an irreplaceable hub for Day 1 global fundraising. Despite geopolitical uncertainty, as a hub where cross-border capital flows, logistics, and information converge, officially setting out from Singapore and completing legal compliance separation and sovereign architecture registration locally is becoming the necessary path for all global AI Agent entrepreneurs going to the world.
